Some insurance companies have drive-in claim centers. If your vehicle is derivable they may ask you to bring your vehicle to one of these centers for an inspection prior to beginning the repair process.

You DO NOT have to use their recommended shop to do the repairs.

There are even Smartphone Apps which allow you to send photos to an inside adjuster to quickly receive a preliminary repair estimate.

Field Appraisal

You may even request that your vehicle be inspected at our location and the insurer will have a field appraiser inspect the damage and write an estimate based on the insurance company’s assumptions about repair costs.

The Claims Adjuster

Whether you submit a claim to another driver’s insurer or to your own, you will need to deal with an insurance claims adjuster.

Remember that the claims adjuster works for the insurance company, not for you. They may lead you to believe otherwise but, their job is to save money for their employer.
